@Erik Hatch thanks so much for the input great points you hit there. I never really thought about connecting with local bankers or of that nature.

@Michael Brattelli @Jonathan Greene I’ve been reading up on the same thing on the forums. I’ve read too that south jersey does not compare to the north jersey market for multi. It may be more beneficial to go single family rather than Multi-Family.

Keep all the info coming your guys are great.

@Erik Hatch to be honest the only research I’ve done is googling Multi-Family in NJ and searching the blog for other answers. I had a real stir when I bought my house so I wasn’t too involved in knowing the market. I still am in the “education phase” of investing so I’m not too familiar with researching deals and what not but I do want to shift my focus soley on finding the market. Upon some research I’ve come up with the idea that Asbury Park, Long Branch may be my first market I go with. Any input?

Heard a lot about northern/central jersey being ideal to own Multi-Family homes. What’s do you all think about the southern part of Jersey l. Personally speaking just moving and living there I think it’s great, lower taxes good amount of amenities with the right location. Any investors have any good starting recommendations? I’ve heard that there are off seasons as well down there which is a down side. But I appreciate all feedback, thanks in advance!

Hello BP family, it took me a while but I'm finally on the forums!  I recently moved to brick at the tail end of 2019 from central jersey. Once I read @Brandon Turner's The Book on Rental Property Investing I was immediately hooked on learning more. Recently started the Bigger Pockets podcasts on my way to and from work and just listening to the amazing journey's and stories everyone has me wanting more. As for investing myself I'm not too sure where I want to invest but I know I want to start with multifamily houses and go from there. Thanks to all who read this and any advice is greatly appreciated, Cheers!
