Hello everyone, My name is Renee and my husband and I currently live in Gilberts, Illinois. It’s a smaller town about 40 minutes west of Chicago. About a year ago we sold our first home and purchased our current home. That is when we decided to spend some time looking into investing in real estate. This lead us to discover this wonderful website. We spent some time reading through the forums and purchased The Book on Rental Property Investing and The Book on Managing Rental Properties. After reading these two books it was clear that we were both interested in investing in real estate. For the past several months we have been reading books, listening to podcasts, and following the forums. We are very eager to get started but are also trying to lay the ground work before jumping right in. We are looking to buy and hold single family homes and residential multi-family properties and we hope to purchase our first investment property in the next couple months! Our goal is to generate enough cash flow to replace our current jobs. This would allow us to spend more time together and more time traveling the world!
