I recently sod a package of about 2 dozen homes in Detroit and buyer found squatters in a handful of them. I believe its easier getting rid of a squatter then it is a home owner who is in default though. First time Ive ever heard of squatters was when I got into REO's. I've heard the term before ,used in countries like Spain or parts of Africa. The Wikipedia article on squatters is also very interesting.

Hello Kirk, as of now the only home I have in TX is one in Lancaster, I had a large package in Texas that we already sold in Dallas. I will keep an eye out for you though.

Forgot to also Mention although I prefer to unload my REO's via bulk sale for less money, I have no problem getting rid of them individually however I would probably look for a larger spread.

Well Dick, it sort of fell on my lap. I was very heavily invested in apartment rentals in Manhattan when a opportunity called with a old business associate of mine. Showed me the ropes got introduced to many influential people and now concentrate on REO's full time.

My name is Nick Jaber and work for a investment group [Express Estates] out of New York City. Currently we are buying packages of homes coming direct from the banks/mortg. companies at very good prices. Looking to see if I can establish relationships on the forum with people interested in buying bulk REO'S in cities across the country. Im excited about what this forum has to offer and hope to absorb knowledge in the REO and real estate inductry nationally.

I'm used to dealing with real estates in New York and found that its slightly different selling a home in Durham, North Carolina then it is selling a condo in the Upper West Side. :D
