I enjoyed reading your story of Probate to Investor. Maybe it has to do with me working at a real estate law firm. I have had the opportunity of working with people that started their investing careers the same exact way. It's good to see you are taking the gift your father left you and turning it into something positive for your future. Trust me I've seen people drop the ball in your situation.
Good Luck, keep striving for more and welcome to the BP family.
Hello there Jesse
that's exactly how it happened,at the time we didn't know what my father left us.we were there for probating the will and head Bexar County Tax Assessor Office, to finalized and have everything legal.
Our lawyer too said "that's how many jump into the business, and she too mentioned that some have dropped the ball and never seen or heard from them again."

The best way that worked for when I started was partnering with real investors on different deals to learn the strategies.
Good luck in real estate, if you ever need anything feel free to reach out!
Hi Jonatan
well my wife said " wait a second, instead of giving them the 25 let's place it for a DP on a property"we ended on that route instead.which made sense.
Marketing, yes. we need to let the public know we are interested in purchasing in FSBO properties.

Our lawyer said the very same thing. She too helped us every step of the way to form our LLC.

If you haven't studied real estate, suggest you think twice before relying 100% on posts. Study to get your license, whether you activate or not.
After learning the fundamentals you'll need to understand marketing and lead generation. Can't brag for knocking got boots on the ground exoerience.
Also, find local REIA clubs in your area. Again, lots of wannabies and wishful thinking there but it's a place to meet others. Leave your credit card at home.
Avoid the dream merchants and bs artists. Since you won't know which ones are the real deal, take time to talk and watch to others.
I used to teach for a few of them. When I recognized that they did not make their money in deals but info marketing, I knew that you were to be avoided.
Don't let others mess with your dreams.
thanks Rick for reaching out to me,yes we came across a group on-line where real estate gather one a month.which were looking forward to attending in our local area.i appreciate the input in what to look out for.
yes,we've heard on quiet a few podcast that one of the husband/wife go out get their license.we definitely will be looking into that.
we will not allow for other's mess with our future. Those we leave behind.

Hello my name is Ricardo Gonzalez
I’m from San Antonio,Texas and i just recently became a Real Estate Investor.
I attended the GURO seminar’s which were extremely helpful and then came to find bigger pockets and found out there’s no need to pay for 25,000 for becoming an Investor.
well i should mentioned the way i came across real estate. It was due to my father’s passing he left me his home, which is my childhood home,in order to validate the WILL we hired a real estate lawyer to probate my father’s WILL.There were many other thing’s that happened in between.
We then got a light bulb and realized my father left us a gold mine,we just need the right tool's.Were now on the way for a equity loan on our existing home and using it for our very first SFR/Commercial purchase.
Again with the seminar’s and daily podcast of BP we put all the knowledge together.so here i’am a new member to bigger pockets, looking on the forums. and let me tell you it feel’s great to have such an great opportunity for a legacy, job freedom, create cash flow, new friends, create wealth,I’m so looking forward to being a landlord and all that come’s with that.
