Hi! we are creating a new small investors club in Spain (we started in Madrid, but now there are people from other areas and even living abroad).

We chat through whatsapp and Discord and we meet regularly. We've also started to make some collective investments and have some other ideas in mind.

Write me if you want to participate.

Which other activities do you do in other groups or clubs in your own areas?

Kind regards,

Ricardo

Hi,

thanks a lot for your comments.

@Colin Murphy, It is a great idea for me having that lunch. Unfortunately I am not in Madrid these days. I will  come back on January 5th. If you decide to postpone it or make a new one later surely I will attend.

I agree with all your comments. Definitely, mi idea is buying it in the City Centre so I can have the option to rent it as tourist property. @Christopher Griffith, do you manage it yourself? or do you outsource it? Do you use any rule of thumb for calculating costs when renting it as tourist apparment?

I hadn't thought buying in another country, as you say in US for instance. I am not sure if for only buying a flat it will pay off the effort of studying a different market and all of taxes and legal requirements. I had never been to Florida. Do you plan to invest there because you know it or do you study new places independently of what you know about that market?

@Quin Weidner, I am using mainly Idealista.com, I think also fotocasa.com is one of the most used sites in Spain. Do you know them? What do you think they don't offer that is available in US sites?

@Gonzalo Monte, thanks for your offer. I am not considering yet any specific property. I am just browsing online and reading all I can about this subject at the moment.

Regards

Ricardo

Hi,

I am also interested in investing in Real Estate in Madrid. In particular, in flats for renting.

I don't have much experience and unfortunately not so much time as I wanted for searching.

Do you think this is a good moment for investing here?

My idea was to start buying close to the city center a small flat, so in case I don't get easily a long term rental I can exploit it as tourist apartment.

In the bank they told me they can lend me at around 2% fixed interest.

Do you think it is a good approach?

Thanks a lot,

Ricardo
