Good Evening RE Investors,
I have not posted anything since my initial "New Investors" post, not because I lost interest, but because I have been very busy. Over the last couple months I have done a significant amount of research into different RE strategies and financing opportunities, organized my personal finances, and acquired a second job for a rental management company while attending school full time at Penn State for a Mechanical Engineering degree. Within the next 2-3 months I will be ready to purchase my first property, but right now I need some help.
I am in need of a professional CPA for tax planning and business consulting and a RE Attorney to ensure I stay inside the legal boundaries and help form and process legal documents concerning both rentals and house flips.
I live in the Central Pennsylvania area (Harrisburg, Carlisle, York, Hanover, etc.) and I am looking for a CPA and RE Attorney in this area. I have looked up several of each in the Yellow Pages and would like some recommendations from those of you who are experienced REI's in the Central PA area. Any recommendations for CPA's or attorney's in Southern PA or Maryland would also be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
Richard

Thank you both for your advise. A couple other people, who either own their own business or are RE investors, confirmed what you said concerning a solid job helping with loans. It was a variable I had not factored in.

My name is Richard Brown, but I go by Gene (It's short for my middle name). I am currently attending school at Penn State - Harrisburg for a Mechanical Engineering degree, although I am not sure if I will continue on into the field of engineering. I dislike cramped spaces and I prefer to set my own goals rather than a corporate manager setting them for me.
I am looking into real estate investing because the independence and financial freedom of being a full time real estate investor greatly appeals to me. I am still researching and preparing, sort of understanding the real estate hang glider before I jump of the cliff. I have an idea of how to get started and hope to be a fully functional and operating investor by May of this year.
