Hi Persephanie!

Welcome to BP! Though I won't be in Denver, I would love to connect and talk about STRs and the strategies you have been using/looking into.

Hi Andrew-

I just moved to Austin and love it! As for different types of loans, have you looked into DSCR financing? Would love to connect and tell you more about this avenue.

Do you know what type of real estate properties you're interested in? Short/long term rentals, multifamily, condos, etc?

Hey all!

I am currently reading David Green's book "Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat" and thought I would share some takeaways as I go.

As someone who is looking to start investing within the next couple of years, I decided to jump into REI and have been primarily focused on the lending aspect. However, I want to start dipping my toes into BRRRRS and thought this would be a good place to start.

I just finished reading about the importance of location when looking to invest. Green emphasizes one should look for an area with growing employment opportunities like restaurants, hospitals, new business, etc. While that might seem like an obvious point, I am curious to what others have seen from the repercussions of Covid and the current volatile market. Employment seems to be decreasing as market rates increase. Would love to connect and hear your thoughts!

    Quote from @Will Kurtz:

Hello, my name is Will Kurtz and I really want to get into real estate investing and more specifically rental property investing. I'm 23 years old and don't have much experience, but I've read several books, most recently David Greene's BRRRR book, and have a real passion for the industry. I'm looking to meet new people who are also looking for a mutualistic relationship with new, young investors. I'm currently very confident in that I know what I need to do to be successful in this field, I'm just looking for people who not only can help me with reassurances, leads, financing, etc. but for people whom I can be a resource for as well. One of the main things I've learned is that it goes both ways and I want to make sure I'm doing my part to help the people I'll be working with just as much as they're helping me. Once I have the ball rolling and my core group of people around me, I have zero doubt that we can be extremely successful!

     Hi Will!

Jumping into REI can be overwhelming at first with the different lingo, terms, avenues to choose from...not to mention the volatile market right now. I would love to connect because I am fairly new and can tell you what has/hasn't worked for me thus far. Like you said, it is about finding your core group and establishing a symbiotic relationship.

Any recommendations for a lender who can close quickly and with minimal paperwork needed? I have a property that I had rehabbed. $85K purchase price and it is now appraised at $187K with a tenant in place for $1600 monthly.

Hi Mariel, just sent you a PM!
