Pete Perez I can't recall exactly where I seen the information you are seeking, but I want to say look into the blogs on the sight. I read one that topic was about must have real investment sites or something along those lines. Hope that helps!

Maximilian Price Hey, I like the name by the way. The best way to get started would be to listen or watch all the podcast that have wholesale in their title. I would also read the free introduction book offered when you signed up. The great thing about the podcasts and the book is they generally suggests other reading material to help expand your knowledge on the subject. Lastly, I would suggests setting up "wholesaling" as a keyword alert notification. The great thing about this is every time the word wholesale is mentioned in the sight, you will be notified. Glad your here, Robert

What's going on everyone?

I am looking for a GOOD real estate agent in Amarillo.  I have been in contact with a few agents here in Amarillo and they are not that willing to assists despite being, or claiming to be, real estate investors themselves.  Please if anyone can suggest investor friendly real estate agents I would greatly appreciate it.

I am primarily looking for agents that doesn't mind sending me the comps for properties that I am interested that fits my criteria.  Apparently, the agent I am or was using told me I wasn't paying her and it takes her 3 hours to compile the data.  What do you say to that?

I don't know but I would greatly appreciate any leads.

Thanks,

Robert

@Brad Stuteville

Hello Brad,

Welcome to the wonderful world of BP!  I have been on BP for a about 7 months but didn't really get active up till a few months ago.  We are having a local meet up tomorrow night at Southwest Library here in Amarillo at 7:15 to roughly 8:15.  Feel free to attend and I hope to see you there!

Thanks,

Robert Butler

Okay.  So if you are targeting flippers try to focus on a win win situation for you and them.  Try using the BiggerPockets Flipping Calculator to run the numbers and see it from their perspective.  I wish you luck on the deal.  All in all - U R TAKING ACTION and that is AWESOME!

@Kyandrea Fowlkes

I share in your frustration.  I am attempting to get some skin in the game, learn the numbers, etc etc and it is tough.  If I can make a suggestion.  I recently read Brandon Turners book discussing investing with lil to no money down and he briefly went over the scenario of buyers claiming the numbers aren't right.  Based off the information I gathered from the wholesale chapter, and looking at your numbers, the estimated repairs seems a bit low.  Who are your target buyers?  Flippers or Buy and Hold Investors?

Thanks,

Robert

@Mike Hurney

I generally try to focus on actionable steps that I can take and stray away from negative thinking. I admit sometimes I think, "what in the world am I doing". But then I'm asking "how can I". Right now I'm stuck on analyzing deals - at least three a day to get comfortable. I've read all forums about it, but I am guess the only way to get comps for "sold" homes are through real estate agents in the MLS?

@Rocky V

Thanks for the encouragement.  I was aware of all of the selling tactics and strategies he was using the whole time.  In the back of my head I was thinking, "nobody has to be buying this", but when everyone rushed to put up their money to sign up I was like whoa!  Before the seminar I been using BiggerPockets as a free member and I have learned a ton of stuff, "For Free!!!).  I'm going to keep pushing man!

Hey @Scott Carson

The event featured the 2 real estate investors from the A&E show "Flipping Boston" here in Amarillo, Texas.  Of course, they were not actually there.  The event was lead by one of their top sales guys I suppose.  He was good (at selling)!
