Just got one for my client and the commission was a flat fee of $20k. All new construction companies are different. This same company told an agent on my team that they didn’t give commission to agents a few months ago. I think they are hurting now.

My advice is to start with your personal finances. Get that under control and everything else will seem less heavy. Look into the FIRE movement and start tracking your spending. Whatever you can cut, cut. And whatever you can save, invest.

Hi @Anthony Vasquez

My advice is to go to some meet ups and start connecting with investors and agents and see what you enjoy about the business. I would then focus on that aspect. Feel free to reach out for advice. I am hosting a meetup at Blaze Pizza on September 25th, 4pm-6pm in South Pasadena.

Free meetup to network with fellow investors and learn from each other. There is no fee, but please purchase some food from Blaze Pizza, for their generous support and letting us use their business to host this meet up. This is one week before BP con, so I can’t wait to meet some of you who plan on attending BP con. It’s always great seeing familiar faces at conventions. This will be a monthly meet up, locations may vary. If you can’t go to this one let me know if you’d be interested in attending future meetups in the SoCal area.

I would get quotes for both and go from there. Both are good options and I would first get a couple of quotes from A/C companies. I can give you a referral if you need. Hit me up.

Quote from @Gary Hartman:

Hello Everyone

I'm new to Bigger Pockets! A lot of new internet tools since 2008!

Raised the kid and I'm ready to start over again!

Look forward to learning and finding a 2nd property!

Best

Gary Hartman

Hi Gary, welcome back to bigger pockets. Would love to here more about the second property you are looking to attain. Are you looking to buy out of state at a lower price point, or maybe rent your current house out and buy a new primary house?
