Post: Disclosing Fixed Termite Damage

I found termite damage and the termites aren't active, do I have to still spray? I fixed the termite damage, do I have to disclose that there was termite damage when I sell the house?

Thanks for any feedback!

If you had an apartment building 4+ units. Would you renovate each unit one at a time and rent out as you finish one? Or do the whole building at the same time?

If you do each unit separately- at what point in renovations would you do focus on one unit?

Going to do everything besides hvac, electric, plumbing ourselves.

Thank you for your input.

I bought a house at auction and it is zoned for only having an in law suite if the house is owner occupied. I am nervous to call the town and be put on a radar. Want to weigh my options first.

Is it possible to rent the house out to one family? Is it possible to rent the house to two families? Is it possible to rent out rooms in the house? The house is in a college town.

Thank you for any input!

Have you looked at the executive order on evictions signed by the governor? I think that CT let you evict if you wanted to move into the house before the governor put it in his executive order. Now are 4 reasons to evict here.

In the beginning of the Summer, I found and emailed every law maker. Someone also filed a lawsuit in federal court. They lost the case, but the governor took their advice and started doing evictions slowly. I would definitely start contacting lawmakers and making a fuss.

I evicted stating I wanted to move in and the tenants last day is this Sunday. Tenant did everything to delay including filing another motion after Judge told them to leave. Received an extra two weeks because of that motion. I started the eviction September 1st.

I have a holdover owner that appears to be a hoarder. I think he may still be there when the Marshall comes to tell him he has to leave. Are there other options besides paying for movers to move his items into a 15 day storage unit? Can we leave the items at the house for 30 days? What if he leaves and leaves items behind? Trying to avoid the movers cost which could be in the tens of thousands. I understand I can sue for those costs, but anyway not to get movers involved? Thanks

Does anyone know what this is? House has mold and has been vacant for 10 years. I was told mold can't grow on plaster and this is on the plaster walls. Thanks!

Hi,

I finally got possession of a house I bought at a tax auction. The lawyer for the town verified with the previous owner that he was letting house go. His mailing address was listed as a different address on town documents. House is filled in every room with items that look like they haven't been touched in years. Neighbor said house has been abandoned for 15 years. Looks like it was owned by parents and the kids never went back to clean out. How should I handle items left in house? It's clearly abandoned, but should I verify that somewhere before I clean it out?

Thank you William! I may hire an attorney, but I may have finally found a law pertaining to this issue. Sec 47a-23 (3).

I purchased the property at a tax auction. There was never a lease. I can not do a execution of ejectment because the case was never filed in court. I have to evict using the landlord tenant route, but I don't know which reason to choose.
