Another place you could try is Prosper. I borrowed 35k from them a few years ago at about 10%.

That's not as good as zero interest for a year, but it's not bad for an unsecured loan that took like 5 minutes to get and a day to fund.

Also, they don't do a hard credit pull until you actually take their loan.. It's only a soft pull to find out what rate they'll give you.

Maybe do an inspection on the property.. See how they are treating it. If they're treating it well / keeping it clean, then it might not be as big a concern.

8-10 people in a 3br is absurd, and I'd also be surprised if it's even legal.

I would not recommend doing anything weird like forgetting to transfer the utilities.. I'm pretty sure that would be considered an attempt at a "self help" eviction, which could make the situation a lot worse.

Why can't the seller start the process now?

This idea seems like its purpose is to disguise a cash advance as a purchase to get better terms from the credit card company.. It sounds like a creative solution, but it probably qualifies as fraud.

Most equipment is capable of operating on either, with one quick part swap. Maybe it would make sense to go to propane, but have the parts for the conversion ready to go (and a capped gas line sticking out where the meter will go)?

I would think you can probably just rent a propane tank to use, until the gas line is installed.

It may not be that big a deal really.. It's something I experienced only one time, but that time was pretty bad. It was a hardwood floor that had been stained / poly'd, and the bed wheels were taking the poly  off. Possibly they did something wrong on that floor - I was the tenant, so I don't know what they used on it.

An easy fix could be to simply leave a set of those pucks in the bedrooms.. They don't cost anything.

One thing that comes to mind is that beds usually have those little wheels, and tend to roll around a bit as people get in and out of them. Over time this can make marks in various types of hard floor. They make little pucks to put under the wheels, but tenants often don't think of things like that.

Carpet would need replaced every so often, but it's an easy replacement.

I dunno.. That looks like my toilet after I've had too many ghost peppers 😄

Being serious, my guess is that the sewer was backed up, and the drains upstairs flowed out of there for a while.

Yeah.. Sounds exactly right. Pay 20 bucks or so, fill out a web page, and they'll grant you a "diagnosis".

I think the whole reason these places exist is, landlords can be intimidated by just the word "discrimination".

The idea that they even have a doctor take part in these is extremely questionable.

First, it'd be way more expensive (actual telemedicine services are the same price as an office visit), and second, there would be malpractice concerns. What if you rubber stamp someone's requested prescription for an emotional support hamster based on a 2 minute "examination", or a few checkboxes, and he turns out to have a brain tumor?

The paper sounds like one of the bogus ones they sell online, which I believe are completely worthless. These have to be written by a doctor that actually treated this person (although it may vary by state, who is allowed to write them?).

Also, a breed you can't insure with, or that the HOA doesn't allow isn't necessarily a "reasonable accommodation".

Maybe ask a lawyer who's familiar with these cases, but my guess is you are probably free to boot this guy.
