@Jim Froehlich Thanks for the welcome!  And yea, it sure does look that way, Im definitely happy to have a website like this around.  And that's awesome, I haven't lived in enough areas to draw a comparison but I'll definitely be finding out.

Hello BP family! Super stoked on becoming a member of BP! I am very excited to learn and review all the knowledge on this site, there is just so much. And I am even more excited to take action! I'm fairly green when it comes to the topic of real estate investing; I have never purchased a property but have a plan to do so within 2018.  I first heard about wealth through real estate from my diving instructor back in the summer of 2017 but I didn't think about it too much until this past January.  I was driving back from North Carolina with my girlfriend and started listening to a real-estate investing podcast she found for me upon my request since I was driving. That first episode I listened to really turned me on real estate. Since then, I have been doing a ton of reading, watching videos/how-to's/webinars, listening to multiple pod-casts and have practiced analyzing a few deals.  Definitely want to do more connecting with the community here on BP and locally in the Orlando & Central Florida area. I look forward to interacting and growing with everyone and hope everyone has a fantastic day!

A little about myself:

I am 25yrs of age, grew up mainly in the South Florida tri-county area attending middle through high school, and then moved to the Orlando area for college at UCF. I studied for my bachelor's in mechanical engineering and graduated fall of 2016. I am currently working as a mechanical engineer in the Orlando area full time. I have always loved the idea of owning my own real estate but I used to always think about it on a small scale: just owning my own home and maybe a vacation home. I never thought about making real estate the vehicle for my financial freedom until now.

P.S.  I'm always open to some great advice/tips if anyone wants to give them!  :)
