I recently put an offer on a house (in Texas) and we are done with all paper work needed to get loan approved but escrow is not closed yet. I already had my vacation planned to go back to California. My concern is that my lender told me closing data which is when I will be in California. He stated that we cannot sign papers out of Texas , then later he said that I can sign papers out of Texas, while I am in California but there will be charge of $100-$150 ?

Is that true ? Are we allowed to sign papers out of Texas ? If so is there a fee?

Thank you all for comments !! I haven't found any other community so welcoming and helping.

@Michael S. You are right CA is very much hyped and unreasonable higher prices ! First thing I did when I moved is bought a house without thinking twice. I had more options than ever and all were affordable. I have read Rich Dad/Poor Dad that exactly that is what brought me here. I will definitely read the second book you suggested.

Hello All,

My name is Sanchit. I had been living in California for 8 years and recently decided to move to Fort Worth, Texas. All my family and friends thought, I was crazy to move to a place where I do not know anyone. Although I was crazy enough to do so, it was necessary for my goals. My goal was to buy and own a house. Good news I just bought a house. I then stumbled upon this great website and found that I can actually be owning house without paying penny from my pocket. So here I am learning more about real estate investing. Looking forward to learn more as I grow my interest in real estate investment.

Thank you all for making this community great and keeping it alive as well as sharing immense knowledge. Can't wait to share my knowledge and help others in anyway I can.
