Acquisitions Manager - Remote

Position Summary

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking with people and uncovering what matters to them. As our Acquisitions Manager, you'll have conversations with landowners across the country - not to pitch them, but to understand their story and see if there's a way we can help. This isn't about convincing anyone - it's about curiosity, empathy, and asking the right questions to understand what they really want.

This is a remote, commission-based role with a $500/month training stipend for your first 60 days as you build your pipeline.

What Success Looks Like

  • Reaching daily outreach goals with a focus on quality conversations, not just volume
  • Building genuine rapport with landowners to understand their motivations
  • Consistently following up and nurturing relationships through our CRM
  • Closing 4+ deals per month

Responsibilities

  • Lead Management: Respond to and nurture inbound leads for nationwide vacant land deals
  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct conversational cold-calling to connect with potential sellers (not high-pressure sales)
  • Relationship Building: Ask questions, listen actively, and understand what sellers truly need
  • Deal Negotiation: Guide conversations toward mutually beneficial agreements
  • CRM Maintenance: Keep detailed notes and track all interactions in our system
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our team to ensure smooth deal flow from acquisition to close

The Ideal Candidate

  • Coachable: Willing to learn our approach and adapt as needed
  • Consistent Work Ethic: Shows up, makes the calls, and follows through
  • Excellent Listener: Genuinely curious about people and comfortable letting them talk
  • Comfortable on the Phone: Cold calling doesn't intimidate them; they see it as an opportunity to connect
  • Self-Motivated: Works independently and manages their own schedule to hit goals
  • Non-Confrontational: De-escalates tension and keeps conversations flowing naturally
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning and using CRM systems, mapping tools, and other software

Compensation

  • $500/month training stipend for first 60 days while building pipeline
  • 15% commission on net profit per deal
  • Expected annual income: $75,000 or greater for consistent performers
  • Additional incentives available on development projects

90-Day Trial Period: This role includes a 90-day mutual evaluation period with clear performance expectations and an easy exit for both parties if it's not the right fit.

To Apply

Please submit your resume and a 2-3 minute audio or video recording (your choice) addressing the following:

  1. Introduce yourself and tell us what interests you about connecting with landowners, and why you think you'd be good at having 100+ phone conversations per week.

  2. Respond to this scenario: A landowner says, "I don't use the property much anymore, but I've had so many scammers calling me about it." How would you respond and what questions would you ask?
