My husband and I are planning to purchase a fourplex in Houston via conventional lending.  We are having trouble finding reasonable insurance rates.  Any recommendations for agents in Houston familiar with multi-family?  Thanks!

@Jonathan Williams Great information, thank you for sharing! I agree about third ward. We've driven the neighborhood frequently and looking at comps, I would feel most comfortable with a property more toward 288. We really like Eastwood, too. Did you find yours on MLS? Thanks again for sharing!

@Jonathan Williams Sounds like an interesting investment you have going near U of H. If you don't mind me asking, which area specifically are you in? We've been focused in third ward, but looking in EaDo too. My husband and I are on the market for a multi-family for buy and hold in that area. We're wondering how are tenants (given it's a college area and transitional) and what's a typical vacancy rate. Also trying to determine what a deal looks like in that area for a brick duplex or fourplex and are there deals on MLS or do we need to go another route? Any insight would be appreciated!
