Apparently not.  So please accept my colleague request and then I can PM you, Alisha E.  Thanks!

Sarah, please pm me details about this lot too. My partner and I have been looking for such lots to build on.

Great!  Sending you a colleague request and PM!

I work for a whole sale real estate company in DFW, we might be interested in this property if you could give me some more info!

Thank you!  I sent you a request to add me as a colleague so that I can PM you with some info

I'm hoping you guys will be able to give some advice.  I'm planning on getting my real estate license in the next few months but in the meantime, I have a personal situation.

My family has some land to sell, just Northwest of Fort Worth, TX.  It's very close to a rapidly growing part of Fort Worth and in a great school district.  The land is about 8 acres with an old home on it that is still occupied by a family member.  However, the home has never been updated and needs quite a bit of repair or else be torn down all together.  We've had the property on the market for several months and even though we are in a very hot metroplex, we haven't had any offers.  We've lowered the price to just bare bones land value and still no luck.  I'm not sure what the deal is...why we've had no offers yet.  However, we are running out of time to get this place sold as it's under a reverse mortgage and the family member is in poor health and needs to live elsewhere.

Would this be a type of situation where we should put the home up for auction with a reserve?  Or should we try and find an investor or real estate developer?  The land could easily make 2-3 homesites with an acre each and the area supports $250K+ homes.

What would you guys recommend?  And does anyone have any helpful contacts for me?

Thanks in advance and I hope I've followed all of the rules on here.
