We would like a 3 or 4 unit property, and we plan to hold it long term. We also hope to buy more together in the future. That is why we were concerned with what our first move should be. We didn't know if we should go straight for financing and get started shopping or if we should seek legal and tax advice first since there are three of us going in on this.

My sisters and I want to buy a rental property together but we are not sure where to start. Should we first form some sort of legal partnership or go straight for getting financing approved?
