What worries me about that is the ongoing liability that comes with owning a drainage ditch. It's truly such a waste, because it backs up to the valley center flood plain. Why not use that as residential property and use the flood plain for drainage. I don't get it. Yet, when i spoke to the city planner and a drainage engineer they said it would cost me an absolute fortune to redesign the drainage plan and then i would have to get it approved through the HOA and the city. Just a waste of 1.5 acres if you ask me. I don't even understand how they can auction it off. it should be rezoned as reserve land.

Hi,

Last year was my first acution and i made a foolish mistake of purchasing two parcels of worthless land. I've tried the city, charity, giving away, any ideas?  One is an acrea and a half in a nice subdivision, but it is Reserve B as a part of the master drainage plan according to the CCRs.  However, the county sold it as residential property.  The second is residential land, but it is very small...only 1600 sq ft or so.   Any advice, outside of not to bid on these type of offerings in the future; i learned that lesson!

Thanks!

I am interested in finding out if anyone else has explored this as an option or pursued it. What they are telling me is that they have an excess of solar tax credit and they are willing to sell them to me  at $.90 on the dollar. They would then give me a K-1 that would offset my federal tax liability entitled to a refund which day would take 10% as a commission.    I’ve been speaking with nick Polumbo, https://www.pehub.com/2013/07/...

Any insight into this area, or is it one of those too good to be true type of scams?
