I currently do not own any other property other than my home. Just bought 3 years ago and still owe a decent amount on. I am going to start looking around the Broadmore area in Shreveport and Shady Grove area in Bossier. Looking to get into houses starting around $100K and go from there. My idea is to form a LLC with a family member who is planning on helping me finance the first few properties until I have a steady income stream. My goal is to create some additional income while trying to gain personal wealth through property ownership.

I read about BP on another site and was interested in joining. I am 30 years old and have just recently began developing my plan to purchase single family homes to rent.  Shreveport/Bossier has three colleges, several hospitals (LSU med school) and Barksdale Airforce base and I believe that there is opportunity to make some money and build personal wealth long term in my area. I have access to funds but will still likely need to mortage my first few properties. Any advice for a beginner would be much appreciated. My goal is to have 4 homes in the next two years. Thanks!
