So I went to my first loan/mortgage specialist to feel out what the fees might look on a 200k property.

Basic info: Property purchase price 200,000

5% down= 10,000

Loan amount 190,000

Closing cost estimate = 6,600

Total funds needed to close = 16,600

Is this realistic, or is it a bit on the high side for closing fees, just curious?!

Does getting your real estate license help with purchasing a first deal? Is it recommended? What do you guys think?

It will be my first event, looking forward to it!!!

Easily the funniest post in all of BiggerPockets!!!

well i tossed 100k out there just to see what other people are thinking but 200k does sound more reasonable for anything above SFR... This helps me alot thanks for the info guys, now to finish up my book and practice analysis of properties.

wow so much info! 1st time im hearing to start with SFH than a duplex or triplex... Interesting!
