Hi I have a few questions.

I seen that property is very cheap in Joshua tree area and I was interested in just buying a piece of land and building a fence and a deck and some tents and wanted to just use solar panels and build my own water well.

It may sound silly, I am aware that it can range from $30k to $50k to get professionals but I watched like 20 YouTube videos ha ha ha of how to build your own water well under $200. And I’ve spoken to 2 professional plumbers about it and they said yes it’s easy to do with a special tool that you get off from amazon.

My question is, am I allowed? Do I need a permit to do my own digging?

What are the restrictions or requirements?

The property that I want does not have any near by electricity or water which is exactly what I want.

To be completely away from power lines and the city pipes.

What advice you can give me?
