Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a retired Army Nurse Corp LTC; spent 24 years in service, go Army!  I currently reside in San Antonio Tx by way of military but originally from NC. In my semi-retirement I’m a full time Mom, wife, and adjunct professor at UTHSC teaching Nursing but have always loved anything real estate and interior design related. I feel so blessed to have had such a successful military career as a nurse and now I look forward to going after something that I've always wanted to do in the world of real estate in whatever form that may be. I also have my Real Estate License, and while I have yet to put it to use, I consider it a possibility and hope that it comes in handy if needed. 

As a novice to this career, it can be a little intimidating but as a warrior I am ready to get started; I believe in teamwork and developing good, honest relationships. I would love to connect with other investors, investor friendly real estate agents/brokers, contractors, and investor friendly lenders and I am not opposed to areas outside of San Antonio. I have done a lot of research, and I joined a mentorship group but there is nothing like actually rolling up your sleeves and doing it; lol. I feel like I've been stuck in the paralysis by analysis phase and at this point I just need to jump in. I am open to participating in joint ventures. As I am interested in a multitude of REI options to include Fix and Flips, Short term Rental, Long Term Rental, Multi-units, and AirBnB's in investment worthy locations. Please feel free to reach out. I look forward to learning from each and every one of you.

Lastly, any and all advice or words of wisdom for a newbie embarking in real estate investing is highly appreciated!  I've been doing a lot of reading through some of the forum topics and have gained a lot of information that I'm sure will be useful, but I am definitely thankful for such a group filled with such an abundance of knowledge.  Many of the comments/topics have been so inspiring and motivating.  As a nurse and veteran, it has always been an immense passion of mine to help and give back, I am hopeful that in this next phase of life I'll be able to do it on a much bigger platform through my success in Real Estate.  I am so ready to start this new journey!

P.S. I forgot to mention although I've looked online for Real Estate Investor Meetups such as Event Brite, Meetup, and Facebook Groups; if anyone has any additional information on where to connect, I'd be grateful for any further insight! I haven't had the opportunity to attend just yet, but I've signed up for a few. I'm just hoping to be able to connect with others in an effort to develop a team and a strong partnership for conquering success in REI!
