Thanks for the warm welcomes. Im starting out paying cash for some properties that need some work, I have a team to do the work, and then renting them.

I know the areas of the city I like and have a good idea on the market, but it may not mean those are the hottest areas. I plan on talking to a couple property managers in the area to get their take based on how long they are seeing units vacant. Does that sound like a good start?

I'll need financing at some point, but most of the properties are under 100k, so getting 20% down wont be too bad. Anyone having any good/bad experiences with obtaining financing?

I love living in the city of buffalo and look forward to investing in the local real estate market here. Interested in talking with any other WNYers or Buffalo investors.
