Located in Ashland, KY. I have found a group in Lexington that I am planning to go meet with next week.

If there is someone closer to my area, please contact me.  I'm not locked into this area, I can pretty much go anywhere, so the more the better.

Thanks

Thank you everyone for your replies.  I doubt it will be anything we really look into, at least for a long time. I lived in Texas a few years ago, and that was the first time I had ever heard of a property management company.

The fact that there is not one in this area, is making me hesitant on purchasing rentals.

Do you work in Kentucky and/or West Virginia?

Were I live tri-state area of KY, OH, WV, Property managers are unheard of, one answer I did received was because, in the state of Kentucky, there are to many laws and regulations that make it impossible to become a property manager.  So my question is for anyone that knows, what would it take to start a property management company?  I know that in this area, there is a lot of people that own rentals and manage them, them self.

Would it be worth it?

Can one be started without being a Broker, but hiring one instead?

We have been wanting to get into real estate for years, recently we have received some training and have met some great people.

We have multiple deals in the works, but are having trouble getting ahold of the right people to get funding, I have made some contacts to help fund our first deal, with no responses.

Its starting to get discouraging, but we are not giving up.
