I have some experiencing dealing with rentals that my parents own. I, myself, would like to get into REI, specifically flipping houses right now. I want to find someone who is already doing that in Charlotte, and work with them as an apprentice or some sort of similar fashion to learn. I was wondering if there was anyone on here that would be of help. I have no other experience and my education background is actually some medical school. So obviously, I am sort of switching gears to pursue real estate.

Another issue.. Right now the property in question is our primary residence, but soon we are going to rent it out and move into our other property that is rented right now. How much harder would it be to refinance then? (After having waited the 2/3 years?)

Hello, we did a Deed in Lieu of foreclosure about 18 months ago with a property we had (no longer have obviously) Currently, we have a mortgage on our home with a higher interest rate and we've been trying to refinance. We learned that we need to wait 2+ years because of the DIL, but I had a lender tell me that some lenders may do it now so I was wondering if anyone knew about that. We have two other properties that are paid off and rented out. We would just like to get a lower rate and term on our current mortgage. It's always been paid in full, never late. there is 25 years left and the rate is 6.5.
