No experience yet although my husband is Nicaraguan and we do want to buy property there some day. We are not at that point yet however. I do remember reading a couple of books by Nadine Pisani documenting her experience moving to CR and then buying property there. It was informative (and hilarious). They are fairly cheap on the Amazon kindle store.
