That's a good idea! I wonder if putting in a half decent bid and if theres issues with the foundation I either back out or ask for 25k less?

Hi guys, In was just wondering if any of you would purchase a college rental with no property disclosure statement? It's in fairly good shape, but I'm worried about previous flooding/issues. I plan on getting a home inspection.

Hi guys,
I’m looking at buying and expanding a rental. The house is quite big with a great size lot for exspansion. It’s currently split into 3 rental units. 1 small garage apartment, top floor unit and basement unit. My idea is to expand the garage, expand the main floor and split it into a duplex style, then keep the basement as is.
I’m wondering if it’s worth it?
Are Reno’s more expspensive then a new build? (Which is what i was thinking)
I like one level duplexes and i think having a one level triplex is even better idea! The land is already there. The water is already hooked up. I just think knocking down walls is a lot of extra work compared to a new build.
Thanks

Hi guys,
first post here. I was looking for some information on whether to build a duplex to rent and create passive income or just buy existing? What’s the pros and cons?
I think with a new building there’s less maintenance surprises.
I just don’t know if it’s worth it. Is there any tax deduction for building like there would be for flipping?
I’m a new investor and was just looking for feed back.
thanks
