@Derek Schetselaar She seemed cautiously optimistic. She indicated that typically an election year is stable and if we do see a shift, it would be a much softer change than what we experienced in the last cycle.

@Nathan Huh That was my understanding when she was presenting. They use it to track disposable income which might give some insight for consumer confidence and spending. Not an exact correlation, but a possible factor to watch for.

Here is some interesting data about Washington County, Utah. It is provided by Southern Utah Title Company.  Down here in St. George, the number of building permits has tapered down slightly from 2018 as well as the number of sales; however, the change is minimal. One thing to note is the larger than typical spike in default notices last month.  Here is the link to the full report.  https://www.sutc.com/good_news

Juliette Tennert gave a very insightful presentation on Utah's current economy. The five takeaways that she attributed to Utah's continued strong growth is 1: Economic Diversity 2: Youthfulness 3: Global Connection 4: Location 5: Social Cohesion. One thing I found interesting is that they keep an eye on Recreational Vehicle Spending.
