@David M.

Just trying to get clarity here, isn’t taking over payments same thing as taking over existing loan etc.... or is 2 different things?

@Kenneth Garrett

“Subject to” is when u immediately take title of property. Land Contract etc... is when title stays in owners name until mortgage is paid off. I’m just trying to figure out the process n how it goes in New York.

@David M.

Yes something like that. From my understanding, FHA has nothing to do with taking over someone's payments etc..... "Subject to" & land contract is slightly different. I believe "subject to" is when u/investor takes title of property. Land contract is when u can take over payments but leave the mortgage in sellers name until the mortgage is paid off. Does that make sense? Hope so lol. Every state has its own laws. Just trying to figure out how it goes in NEW YORK
