Post: Legal help on a shared well and septic

I purchased a home I was originally renting, this was over 10 years ago. After the purchase the title company didn't find that the well and septic, both on my property, are shared by the other home that the guy I bought home from owns. He has since been paying for the use of well and septic. Is this even legal and do I have to continue doing this? He did just cover the cost for some repairs and pumping of the tanks. Which will be split 50/50 as per a verbal agreement with my wife.

Thanks so much for The welcomes....I will check into the keyword thing and as for the rent it is more than I pay out so that's a plus for me....pun intended. Also what is this vote thing that I was notified about?

Hello all...I am Bill Straw, new to site and new to being a landlord kinda forced into it. Oweing more on home than worth and another issue making home hard to sell. Not sure if the circumstances could turn into a blessing in disguise, but figure for that to happen I need to learn from others, proceed with caution, and keep my head up.
