In USA on H-1B visa, want to invest in real estate. Source of income salaried professional in USA + sale proceeds from foreign business in India. What would be the tax implications for bringing in the money into USA on my personal income taxes? Any references for a tax attorney or CPA expertise in foreign sale of business and tax implications in USA for immigrants?

I need suggestions for, who can i approach and how, in order to sell / rent the land i own in India

Investment Opportunity for an Industrial Land in India. I am willing to sell/rent, let me know if interested.

appreciate your replies, i understand i need to know the market better, but following on to my question, how do i zero down on a market? So that i can travel to that place, meet people, try to research more etc.

Hi, I am a newbie, as you can tell from the title of this post. I have been researching on and off over the past 6-8 months, but can't really answer my first basic question, what is the most profitable / right market to look at and start researching in depth for investing in cash flowing and high appreciation properties. I am based out of California, which makes me think if California is not the right market then it can be anywhere across the country since it doesn't matter. But the real question is, what is the, THE market to start researching the neighborhoods and properties and contacting realtors to take the first step.
