Do a lot of reading, listen to the podcasts here and begin networking at the local events. I agree with Mike LaCava's suggestion that you go to the next Black Diamond Event in Waltham. These meetings are free and well attended. The experienced people are very helpful to those just starting out. Also google NEREIA. This group meets every month in Chelmsford and gives you access to a online network of investors.

I am also located in Massachusetts and looking to fix and hold. Ann Bellamy invited me to the Black Diamond event in Waltham last night, and I am glad I went. I met some interesting people, learned a lot and had some fun. The speaker was excellent and I gained some knowledge of insurance. Looking forward to reading your posts and hope to see you at the Worcester event!
