Post: Advice on buying in North Omaha

Great information guys!

Cory - I'm in a similar situation to you. I am looking to purchase my first investment property in the Omaha area soon, and I live in Denver so I will be long-distance investing as well.

Doug - Thank you for the insight into the Omaha market! It's great to get to hear from someone who is experienced in the area!

I'm in the process of securing a HELOC on my primary residence to use as a down payment or potentially even a cash purchase of an investment property in Omaha. I'm hoping for a property with mostly cosmetic rehab value-add potential.

Are there any contractors you would recommend in the area? Also, are there any contractors that we should be sure to avoid?

Thank you for the help!

-Tanner

Hey Todd! I know I'm a little late to the party, but I'm a new investor testing the waters in Aurora myself. How has your last year gone? I hear the condo life has been lucrative in the area. I'm currently looking for a small multifamily near Buckley AFB but have yet to find anything that makes sense digging into the numbers.

Amanda and Todd - I would love to connect with both of you regarding your perspectives of the market in the area! It's very refreshing to hear any opinions in the direct area I'm looking into.

I would love to hear how your adventure has gone and what you're looking for in the future!

Always happy to help! Cheers!

What markets are you focusing on in Texas?

Hello Bigger Pockets World!

My name is Tanner Simpson and I'm living in the greater Denver area (Aurora to be specific). I am currently house-hacking my first property and saving up/learning as much as I can to take on my next investment property. I grew up in the DFW area with ties to San Antonio, Austin, and Houston. I'm currently a Civil Engineer working in Land Development in Denver. I'm looking to expand my portfolio and experience in any wan that I can. I'm a young professional, I'm hungry for new opportunities, and a hard-worker. Shoot me a response or a message if you are looking for any assistance in your endeavors! I'm not sure exactly how these introductions are supposed to be formatted, but I'm very social and I love meeting new people, especially anyone who can entertain my real estate investment conversations!

I'm excited to be involved in the BP community and I look forward to meeting new people in any/all markets as we all work towards financial independence!

Thank you!
