Hi All!  Looking to see if anyone has done any buying through an auction in Spokane.  Either at the courthouse or online?  Do you have tips, tricks, or advice on how these work?  Has anyone actually bought through auctions?  Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!

my two cents... I definitely think there is a lot of potential in that area, especially with Kendall Yards going in.  The city has worked for the past possibly 5 years to beautify and clean it up.  But knowing that area, living in Spokane all my life, and worked here.. There is a reason they call it 'felony flats'.  Not to take anything away from it, but it's going to take a lot to lose that name.  It could be 5-10years of investors and the city putting money towards it to have a good return. Just my opinion... :)

hi!  We've been working with Chris (owner) from Inland Northwest Remodelers. They've been doing a great job on our house after a water disaster.  Tell him that Tanya and Adam recommended him.  Good luck!

Jeffrey Messee congrats on the first flip. I hope for it to go well for you. I've got one house that I'm interested in getting, but still trying to figure out how to make it happen. Financing is a new challenge. :) any creative tips or leads on people / banks that have helped you out? Thanks!!!

Hi Aaron! My husband and I are also brand new to real estate investment and we live in Spokane! We've been working through real estate training online, but also everything that BiggerPockets has: webinars, podcasts and books. There is a lot to learn, but we truly want some financial freedom and to start building our business and with luck, a legacy for our kiddos. There is an REI group in town but we would like to build up our personal network. What types of homes or niches are you looking at doing? Flips, buy and hold, multi families? There is a category forum for Spokane, I posted on it recently. Seems like there isn't many who post there but I've still gotten some information from it. Keep it touch! Good luck! Tanya and Adam

Hi! We are very new to investing in the Spokane area, so new that we are looking for good networking opportunities, contractors, leads for tri- and quads, and a REI group or others interested in the same! My hubby and I are working through our brokers courses for our licenses. We both maintain full time jobs but want to start building our portfolio as another income and financial security and legacy for our big family. We are open to learning, so if you have any advice, we would love to hear from you!! Thanks! Tanya and Adam

My husband and I are new to REI and are looking to meet more people. Is there a meet up group here in Spokane? We'd be interested in going. Thanks!

Hi! My name is Tanya. I'm very excited about my new adventure in real estate investing! Currently, studying for my broker license, doing a lot of research, pulling together a business model for me and my hubby to jump into investing. Thankfully, we found BiggerPockets. We've been listening to podcasts and reading a lot of books lately. It's a lot of work but I've never been this excited about my job, so I know we must be on the right track. Always looking for people to brainstorm with and learn from in our local area and beyond. God bless!
