Is this true? I know it's dishonest, but I don't think I have ever seen loan paperwork that required me to say that I wasn't obtaining other loans at the same time.

Rodney, There is not an easy answer to your question. It depends how much you are willing to pay for it. It all comes down to what the list price is, how long it's been on the market, how many times the list price has been reduced. I have paid asking price and then I have walked in and offered half the list price and it was accepted..

If you are looking at getting a new appraisal and having the bank use it, the best I can find now is 6 months seasoning

Sorry for missing this post. I hate that little check box on the notify.. Any way, when you say East side of Cleveland I picture war zone. I am sure there are good parts somewhere over there, just not sure where.

I heard that these properties will go to HUD and they will be listed the same way HUD currently list them, but then I also heard that they will be auctioned off.

Minn, Not sure how they can force the issue, but you are taking a chance of them placing a value on your house based on the appearance of the outside and square ft only. This could improve or hurt your case. With the current market conditions are you sure your home hasn't gone down in value?
