Thanks for your responses.  It just seems like such a waste that these homes sit vacant when an investor can fix them up and add value to the market.

Hello All,

In my travels around town, I have found a lot of great vacant houses that I'd like to buy and flip or rent. However, when I search the public records I'm finding that these houses were previously foreclosed upon by the bank and most are beyond the redemption period. They are now showing title in the name of the financial institutions that held the original mortgage but not listed as a REO for sale. When I attempt to contact the bank directly, I'm getting the runaround. Does anyone have a process that they can share to help me buy these Off Market REO properties?
