Hello BP,

I am having some trouble getting approved for an apartment out in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Some of the criteria is a lot and I am seeking a willing cosigner on the apartment. I will be moving with my family and mother and am willing to make monetary arrangements for the help. Thank you in advance!

Sincerely,

Thadeus Frederick

Hello BP investors,

I am in the process of moving in a couple of months and wanted to see if anybody had any interestime in doing rent to own or has rent to own home in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Thank you all in advance!

Hello BP, I am a newbie and am in search of my 1st rental. I had some few idea for acquisition due to the fact I do not have much credit. I was wondering if a hard money lender will find the purchase price, is refinancingredients into a conventional loan an option to due say 6 months to a year down the road? I Thank you all in advance!

@KyleRountree

thank you so much for getting back to me Kyle. I will reach out to a real estate agent to further my next steps in the process. In your response, you said I would need to secure financing with my agent. How do I exactly secure the financing for a FHA loan? Is approval for this loan necessary before I look at properties? Thank you again!

In my opinion, there is no better way than to get your feet dirty than by 'house hacking'. If you buy a Multi family home with FHA financing, it would be as an owner occupy. You would then live in one of the units while renting out the others. Doing it this way allows you to be on premise, and keep an eye on everything.

Starting out I would recommend finding a good real estate agent. A good way to do this if you don't already have somebody is to ask friends/family for a referral. This way, you will already start out with a step in the right direction from someone who has had a good experience.

You will also need to secure financing for your agent to be able to show you the properties, and to have an idea of what you can do. Feel free to PM me if you would like help with that or with any  other questions.

Hello fellow BP members,

My name is Thadeus and I live in Stoughton, MA. I am relatively new to investing and, though I have done a lot of reading on real estate investing, I have yet to get my feet dirty.

Recently one Avenue was brought to my attention to begin investing and that was multifamily investing with a FHA loan. Since I would be a first-time home buyer if I thought this would be the perfect start. From what I know 3.5 % of sale price will be needed as down payment for requirement.

So, I guess I am asking for guidance or help with these steps. I'm not sure where to even start to look at these multi-family homes and the process afterwards and maintaining it once done. I thank you all in advance!!
