Thank you, @Matthew Maggy. I'll have to change how thorough we are with our contracts and scopes of work. Just mentioning something to the contractor shouldn't be enough. I appreciate the time you have devoted to helping me out.

@Matthew Maggy, I personally detest change orders. But, if one is totally necessary, how would you suggest it be handled?

I try to be as open with my customers as possible. Sometimes it ends up being a financial loss for me. But, I'd like to keep our company's reputation as clean as possible knowing that they may refer me to someone or become a repeat customer.

Always start with Angie's List. They have all been pre-screened for insurance, bonds, and licenses. It also never hurts to scroll through Facebook and see if any local companies are posting their work online for you to see.

Thanks! Looking forward to meeting you as well.

A good place to start would be Angie's List. Doesn't always pan out, but it is a viable option.

I'm Tony and I come from a construction background. My family is in the construction business so, naturally, I am too. I have 6 years experience on a full crew with two of those years running my own company.

I currently am a project manager for Bolthouse Homes which is located in the Chicagoland area.

My purpose on here is to connect and meet as many people involved in real estate as possible in order to grow our company. Along with that, I'm also looking for investors, wholesalers, rehabbers, and anyone else looking to do business.
