Hello BP family, 

I am a new investor starting out in Arlington, VA. Looking for some great local REI meetups so i can go and meet some investors nearby. Also, looking for any advice other investors may have. Hopeful to meet many investors on BP and hopeful to maybe have a mentor to help a young and coming investor with a main goal to take care of family. I am thrilled to start my investing career with the BP family!

Hello All. My name is Tony Johnson. I live in Arlington County, VA. I am 23 years of age and teach children diagnosed with Autism. I am also the head coach of the basketball team for the school that i work for.

About a year and a half ago i started to get into the real estate investment world. I am a guy who does not like asking anyone for anything because i love learning new knowledge and doing things on my own. I also feel like a burden on others when i am asking others for help or depending on other people. I have been trying to tack the real estate investing world on my own and my luck is not so great at it. I have been through plenty of investing workshops and sat through plenty of online modules for real estate investing. It has gotten me no luck for actually going out here and making deals. There has been a lot of my friends who laughed at the thought of me becoming an successful real estate investor but i have always told myself i will prove all of them wrong one day. So today is the day that i am coming out of my shell and asking for any help i can get from the professionals on this site. Every training and meeting i have been to involving real estate, there is one thing that almost every investor has in common. They have had a professional help them and guide them to the knowledge that they know. I have realized that in this business, it is not just about getting out here and doing it. It is also about getting others to help and accepting others help. If not, in this business, you will get burnt trying to do it alone. Their are so many ins and outs that a newcomer is not aware of. So i will love any help and or advice that i can get from the bigger pocket community. I wish you all well on this Easter Sunday!

But my biggest passion is giving back to people to see them happy. It is hard giving back on an teaching salary. I want to value my time with my family and the folks i love most and not have to worry about waking up every morning to go to my job then go coach and come home and do it all again the next day. I am so motivated to do real estate but i come to the BP community today to ask if i can get help form one of you successful investors. Could one of you mentor me and help me become a great investor so that i can share more time with family and friends and give back more than i could ever have did before. Hello BP community. My name is Tony Johnson and i am a new member to the BP community. I want to invest in real estate. I am interested in fix and flips and buy and holds. I look forward to doing Commercial properties in the near future when i build my investor portfolio and have the funds for it. I am here to get help form the BP community to help me complete a deal whether it is a wholesale deal or a fix and flip. I look forward to hearing from you all and i look forward to being apart of the BP community. 

@Felipe Ocampo, thanks for the response man. I do appreciate that. Truth be told my credit score did take a hit. I co signed for a close friend of mine and they stopped making payments on the car note and the car was repossessed. My credit score was very good but hey things happen. I am 22 years of age and my credit was in the 700's until the repo. I teach kids with autism so i do have a W2 job. I do not have enough saved up for a down payment though. 

Hey Guys. My name is Tony and i am new to the investing world. I am currently trying to invest in the DC, MD, and VA area. I have found so many deals but i am having a tough time coming up with the funds to close these deals. Could anyone help me with some advice to come up with the funds to support these fix and flips and buy and holds?
