Hello my fellow BPers.
Please share your wisdom on my situation. I have a duplex, live on the 1st floor (2 beds, 1 bath) (soon to rent out) and my tenant lives on the 2nd floor (1 bed, 1 bath).
As we know, inflation has increased in all aspects except for the COSTCO ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. Currently, my tenant pays:
1. water - fixed at $50/month. Water bill increased.
2. rent - $950/month + 50/month (dog) (rent has not been increased for 2 years)
I pay for gas and heat, I'm going to increase rent and would it be to increase the water due to the new expense. I would say fair would be 1050 (rent) + 50 (dog) and increase water by $10 dollars ($60/month). Yes, this would line up with the COMS in my areas.
Thank you.
Tony
