Thank you everyone for your inputs. I've reached out to the lender and they removed the fee. This does make me a little bit weary of using them again ever again.

Good morning fellow BiggerPockets,

I just received a final term sheet from Acqua Funding with a line item called Capital Markets Fee of $2250. That comes out to 30% of their total closing cost. This fee was not part of our conversation/discussion or the estimates that was provided to me while we are going through the closing process. Suddenly now that we are ready to close, this fee comes out. Does anyone have any experience with this particular fee or lender? Please educate me. Thank you!
