Hey Everybody,

My name is Mandy and I'm 23 years old. I live in Lincoln Nebraska (the heart of the heartland) and starting in REI.

My background is in CIS and decided a JOB (Just Over Broke) wasn't for me. It wasn't going to help me achieve the goals I nor live life the way I want.

I tried some alternatives for a couple years and that really didn't work. So, though I've never owned a home in my life, I've gotten over this fear and made the decision to take an active part in REI for myself.

What can I say? Another noobsauce to the forums, and happy to be here. Looking forward to getting settled in and taking action.

I've done some looking and most places are in Chicago or Colorado.

I'm starting to read up on REI and the first step the resources say is to build a team.

People like lenders, accountants, title companies, appraisers, etc. are all important parts to the process. The two that seems to be the foundation are the mentor & real estate agent.

I am wondering what you recommend to find these 2 cornerstone people and stories of you have done.

Thanks for the input, LONNIE. I've made a couple phone calls to local REI clubs and am waiting to hear back.
