My plan was to finance a deal, I've meet with one lender so far. I'm assuming it's a good idea to meet with a few before I choose someone. I would like to keep the property as a long term rental. Should I talk with more then one realtor or just find one?

Hello everyone!

I am interested in knowing how to find off market deals. I am new to the dallas area and wanting to find my first multi family property. My goal is to house hack. My thought is to start looking now and hopefully by the end of the year acquire my first property. I've looked on redfin and other like it and I'm having difficulty finding anything.

I appreciate your input, I would eventually like to replace my w2 income with real estate income, but I only just started my journey. My goal is to get at least 1 property in 2019, which I have been working towards. I spoke with a lender a few days ago and now I think the next step is to talk with a realtor to begin looking at potential properties. I think I should  wait a few more months before I decide about the pro membership but I wanted to hear other people's opinions.

Hello BP community!

Is a pro membership worth it? The reason I am asking is because I am newbie and I'm not sure if that is something I should get starting out or wait on.

Hello BP community!

I am a newbie who is interested in starting my real estate investment portfolio. A little about myself, I am 22 years old, just moved to the Dallas Texas area and just started a new job. I currently live in an apartment but would like to get into a multi family property when my lease ends. It does not end until December, but my thought was to begin looking early that way I could get a property, fix it up, and move in a tenant before I move in. Should I consider waiting closer to the end of the year or start looking now? Also who would you recommend that I speak with first in regards to this whole process? I spoke with banker to see what I may get pre approved for, but at the moment I am waiting for a response.

Hello everyone!

My name is Tyler I am 22 years old and I moved to Texas from Florida. I am new to the Dallas area, interested in learning real estate investing and also meeting other investors nearby.

I currently do not have any real estate experience other then reading a few books and listening to the podcasts. I know I am young, which I think is a good/ bad thing. I am interested in rental properties and my goal for 2019 is to buy my first duplex property. I am currently renting in an apartment complex, and working 40-50 hours a week in power line construction.

I would like to begin looking at duplexes as soon as possible but I ultimately do not know where to start. I spoke with a bank about finding out what I am pre approved for, but at the moment I am waiting for a response.
