I am from the Fox Valley in Wisconsin and I do not agree with your comment regarding the Fox Valley area and the local REIA which is a part of the national REIA and when you join you become part of the National REIA. Are there national guest speakers brought in yes, speakers such as Jeff Watson, attorney and attorney with the National REIA and Eddie Speed Note School are a couple of examples. These are hardly marginal guests offering marginal deals. Actual none have offered marginal deals or deals at all for the matter. Much of what they offer is further education. These guests are many times brought in along with the Madison REIA, Milwaukee REIA and the Appleton REIA. All the speakers that have been brought in are highly national recognized investors that usually offer a lot of information that is not always readable available or that you may not know. Is there an upsell, sometimes yes and sometimes no but than you have to use your own discretion to determine what you may benefit from or not. Also the majority of the meetings do not have national speakers but still provide a good deal of local info, a lot of opportunity for networking, a lot of real estate investing info and just lots of good people.
