I found this cool website for Michigan, I thought I would share it in case anyone else needs it. I still don't know if I would have to pay back taxes, but at least I know what my taxes for after I bought it would be.     https://treas-secure.state.mi.us/ptestimator/PTEstimator.asp

We are looking for a house to live in and fix-up then sell after a year or so. This looks like a good one the only problem is the tax increase. I guess my question is, is it possibly these are back taxes since the property was foreclosed, and if so how would I find a more accurate list of what the taxes would actually be? Thank You

Hello Everyone! My name is Valerie Nagle. Me, my husband, and two children moved to Michigan about 8 months ago for my husband's medical residency. After working in his residency for a while my husband discovered that some of the doctors were pushing off retirement later and later due to a lack of financial security. We decided that was not how we wanted to end up and began researching ways to create financial security and freedom. We hope to acquire our first rental property in the local area in the next couple of months, and build up to the point where we own several cashflow positive properties. I am excited to start building a network and become a real estate investor.
