@Jon Parton Sounds like you’re pretty diversified. Would be interested to hear about your experience in Gary vs. Dyer. I’m targeting performing properties that need little rehab upfront. Would like to get in to distressed over time, but would like to dip a toe in with something performing first.

@Daniel Guerra Wow - Busy guy! Still doing diligence, but I’m thinking south Hammond, Merrillville, and Hobart.  Would love to get into Munster, Schererville, Dyer, and St John, but doesn’t seem to pencil at current home prices...

I’m Val, and I’m a new investor from Chicago / Northwest Indiana.  I currently work full-time for an institutional real estate investor in downtown Chicago.  Looking to invest in single-family homes on my own account.  Targeting Northwest Indiana because I’m a Hoosier (from Indy), and my husband is from The Region (plus the economics are better than Chicago...). 

Trying to learn as much as I can from those with experience! Look forward to connecting.
