It is not really true that you can not rent it during winter. People will have their own reasons to relocate. List it for rent, If your plan to use the property for rental business. Get used to it. As @Ivan Lai suggested first look at the red flag.

I am a licensed home inspector intern. I can run free inspection for you. I live at Cheshire. If I find any major defects let you know to engage senior Home Inspector. Do not take the risk of committing without knowing the condition of the property you are purchasing. If you know the problems before purchasing you can negotiate with the seller.

@James Nazario you are right. Route 10 towards Cheshire is good to consider for investing. I found Cheshire school district rank is the major factor attracting families with school going children.
