Trying to buy it Tuesday before foreclosure on the 15th.

Hey @deniseevans My apologies. The remainder of what is owed on the house. She left no will and the house is not paid off. I will watch your video after this. She had no spouse and several children, two of which currently live in the house. I know a bit of Tx law but nothing about Alabama.

My dad wants to buy my maternal grandmother’s house in Alabama. She passed and the relatives (related to me and not him) who live there are cannot or will not pay the remainder. He plans to buy it outright and put my name on it. My aunt, uncle and cousin currently live in the house. He anticipates them to continue living there. 

My concern is squatters rights as neither myself or my dad reside in Alabama. It gets complicated when it is family but I don’t know what those complications are and how best to proceed. Can we do a landlord tenant agreement? Do we eject and then rent to them? My father is not going to want to be extreme with it. Due to his age, I want to help but not to his detriment.

Please advise!
