Just before Christmas the furnace quit at one of your apartments. Due to the company not being able to install the new furnace for a couple days, I told the tenant I would buy a couple space heaters.  He said they had already gone out and bought them and wanted to take the cost off their next months rent.  I said yes that would be fine. Now my husband has told them to leave them in the hallway and we'd pick them up to put in our storage.  They said that they are theirs.  Please confirm if we are correct that since we paid them for them that we do own them. Is there anything else we should say to them to understand this?

thank you!
