No , we should try to get them out and not renew the lease. But if someone is taking advantage of the situation, it will be hard to get them out and so apply for city support for past due rent.

I have 9 tenants and one tenant has been not paying as she lost the job and hasn't been able to pay even with unemployment benefits. Lease expires in August of this year and I expect this to be a super tough battle to evict or get them moved out of the unit.

Great question Jennifer. I bought a 4plex and increased to owning 9 doors last year. I am aspiring to learn more about note investing and increase to 30 doors by 2022.

@Bruce Mark ,

I am in the same boat as I have one tenant unpaid since Feb and eviction is pending in the court.

Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie from the twin cities and I have been following the bigger pockets blogs for a year now. I and my husband bought our first rental - single family house 3 months ago. Our ultimate goal is to end up with multifamily four plex to eight units to start with in the beginning. We are very interested to learn more about private financing and also network with investors around the twin cities.

 Please send me suggestions, articles to read and let me know if you are around the Minneapolis area.

Thank you,

Vidya
